My husband is a 911 dispatcher for the Sacramento County Sherriff's Dept. My aunt is a deputy. My mother, uncle and cousin are all records Officers. My entire life, family functions have always been filled with "work talk".
Today is a sad day. Two deputies died last night in a helicopter crash. John is "shaken" to use his words, he knew one of the deputies personally, and besides that, they work with these officers all the time.
Very sad day.
